Do you believe that you’re supposed to be good to make God happy? God isn’t trying to have His way just because He’s God. Many still think God is constantly measuring us and is ever-ready to zap us if we miss the mark. That is so very far from the truth. The truth is, God has set before us a clean, clear path, covered it with His protection, and He’s provided a Guide to ensure our safety. It’s only when we step off that path or fail to follow our Guide that we get into trouble. It‘s never for God’s sake that we are called to obey. It’s for our sake. The greatest joy in life’s magnificent journey is experienced by following our “owner’s manual”, the Word of God. Take some time to study this manual for life. You will need it to get you through unharmed.
