The apostle Paul wanted to fully understand Christ and the awesome power that forever flows from Him. And Paul wanted to become like Christ. That was his determined purpose, and nothing was going to get in the way of it. That’s the perspective you need to adopt. Yes, it's good to be employed and to contribute skills and talents in the workplace. There’s no question that the world needs your abilities. Certainly, you should enjoy the fruits of your labors when you make your contribution. But when job success becomes your primary goal, when earning an income is viewed as top priority, you’ve become just like the world. That should not be. You have a higher, eternal, and divine purpose. Get out there and demonstrate the Kingdom of God. Understand this and the rest will fall into place.
