Gideon didn’t think of himself as a mighty man of valor. He was hiding out, threshing wheat under cover, when the angel found him. Of course, Gideon had good reason to be afraid. He thought God had abandoned him and his people. But God knew Gideon to be a man of valor because that’s how God designed him. So God called Gideon, the two of them spent some time getting acquainted, and then mighty exploits were accomplished. That can be your story too. You might feel that God has abandoned you. Make a quality decision right now, today, to trust His Word. Declare His promises and seek His face. Together you will accomplish great things.

• I am filled with the power of the Holy Spirit and led by God.
• I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel. I am only moved by the Word of God.
