POSITION SUMMARY
The Administrative Assistant will support the administrative support needs of the senior and associate pastors.  This role will be instrumental in proactively seeking opportunities to reduce the administrative duties and tasks of the pastors so they can focus their time on the growth of disciples walk with the Lord and spreading the Gospel in the community. 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Attend the weekly staff meeting with the pastors as they request, taking notes of follow up actions that need to be take and assigning timeline and who is responsible.
• Calendar management for the pastors and all church events/activities on the GMC Outlook calendar. 
• Reserving space at the YMCA for special events
• Coordinate upcoming event promotion needs to the volunteers/staff responsible for slides, flyers, posters and social media. 
• Prepare the weekly bulletin and send for printing. 
• Communicate church meetings to the appropriate people for both churches and keep calendar current.
• Communicate with volunteer committees for any activities and potential need of action from the pastors. 

Requirement

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum two years of experience in administrative support
• Organization and administration
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Technical skills Microsoft software and systems
• Cooperation with pastors, volunteers and all people
